S. Komarova's cheerful paintings were produced during the last decade of Soviet governance. Her themes include masquerade and winter carnival motifs, nostalgic images of traditionally dressed beautiful girls, and stylized, child-friendly images that illustrate popular Russian folk tale motifs.
