Soviet Postcard Art — T. Sorokina

SOROKINA, T. (active 1970s-80s) Children's Book Illustrator, Graphic Artist.

Picture
T. Sorokina illustrated a number of children's books including S.Marshak's book Silly Little Mouse (1974) and a Russian edition of A.A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh (1975), from which a pair of postcards sets was subsequently released.

Additionally, she created a beautiful series of images (1980s) of the Snow Maiden, Snihuronka.

At least one Snihuronka postcard image by the artist L. Sorokina was printed in 1967.

The relationship between these two artists, if any, is yet to be determined.
