Soviet artist Aminadav Kanevsky (1898-1976) produced satirical cartoons and illustrated a edition of Pinocchio (Russian: Buratino) in the 1950s.
V. Kanevsky, whose works are featured on this page, postcards are watercolor images of wildlife, with many birds represented.
He illustrated a Russian-language edition of Hans Christian Anderson's The Ugly Duckling in 1980.
